I have the Sync system with the large Navigation Screen. I had been under the impression that the Maps were in the Hard Drive, and there was a way to update the hard drive.
My Sync Owners Manual, Page 113, under System Software Updates, says to phone Navteq or to go to www.navteq.com so I went to their website. It asks me what car I have, and the 2010 Taurus is listed. Cost for the disc is $199. BTW, there is no instruction on how to load and use the disc. I.E. Insert the disc and leave it in there, or insert the disc, let it download, then remove the disc. I just don't know.

Is this (disc) used to update the map in Sync, or is there some other way to update the map in the hard drive? Nothing else is said in the Sync Owners Manual other than the Navteq information on Page 113.
